Sittin Pretty

Another Felicia. I swear I try to do mostly original character work but she gets me out of a lot of art slumps by being very fun to draw.

More airbrush practice on her big 'ol mane of hair (the darkest purple came out a little "messy" with splatter here and there, hehe)

Funny thing about this picture: I use a copic color chart I made for myself (just a swatch of every marker on a piece of Bristol). I thought at first that I had labeled my light pink (the top of her hair) wrong, because when I used it, it looked purple...!

I wrote it off as an "oops" and left it alone. A few days later, I came back, and it looked pink (like it does here, and like it does on my color chart). Turns out that particular color just goes on lavender, and fades pretty quickly to the light pink you see here, at least on Bristol board...

...so long story short, I suggest everyone make a color chart if you use markers, so you have a reference for the "true" colors of your markers!
